Megan Lynne Montgomery, b. April 4, 1974 in Caldwell, Idaho

Dad was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the ninth of twelve children, and the youngest son.  Around 1944 the Montgomery family moved to Idaho, because L. T. and Blanche had been told "the wind never blew" there.  The family made several moves in Idaho, from a labor camp, to Marsing, where L. T. worked as a hired hand for Ray Pershall, then to Boise (where L. T. moved the family without warning while Blanche was out of town!), then finally to the first of two houses in Caldwell--one on Freeport, and the last on Belmont.  Dad graduated from Caldwell High School in 1960, attended the College of Idaho for a semester, and in August 1961 married Linda Hoffmann.  Dad and Mom had been in the same first grade class and then dated in high school.  Dad still works at Hoffman Sheet Metal, where he began working for his father-in-law in the 60's.  From 1966-1968 Dad served in the Army, and he and Mom lived in Texas and Georgia.  Aside from those two years, they have lived since 1963 in the house they bought then on Savannah Street in Caldwell.
